Welsh baseball on the web

Whether you are a lifelong fan of this traditional summer sport, or are here to discover what it's all about, there will be something for you as this website grows.

The site was launched in summer 2007 and is still under development. Although intended to focus on the history of British baseball in Wales, it also has a news section, regularly updated during the season. Since 2008, the site has been officially recognised by the Welsh Baseball Union.

Baseball, our baseball, is the best of all sports. If it had the chance to compete on level terms with other summer sports it would still be the major sporting passion of south Wales and Liverpool. For players it's enjoyable as a game of skill and athleticism. For spectators, the action is open and visible. I recall the great days of the war and post-war years when crowds of 10,000 plus flocked to major games. The game has been neglected in favour of less spectator-friendly sports. It is due for a major revival because of its intrinsic quality and competitive excitement.
